House robbery:
• A man was robbed in his room on a property along 10th Street, in Withok Estates, early yesterday morning (Thursday).
The victim was awakened at 1.30am by five men.
One of the robbers pointed a gun at the victim and forced him to lie on the floor.
The robbers demanded money and ransacked the room.
They fled on foot with the man’s passport, his cellphone, some cash and a bank card.
Hijacking:
• The driver of a white Isuzu KB 250 D was hijacked in Vulcania, yesterday.
The incident took place along Lemmer Road, at about 10am.
The victim was forced to stop when the vehicle in front of him suddenly came to a halt.
A red vehicle then pulled up alongside the driver and one of its occupants pointed a gun at him.
Two of the hijackers got into the bakkie and drove off with the driver.
They stopped soon afterwards and the driver was forced out of the bakkie and into the red vehicle.
The hijackers then drove to Soweto, where they released the driver.
Armed robbery:
• A female motorist was robbed of her cellphone by a man armed with a gun, at 9.15am on Tuesday.
The woman was stationary at an intersection along Denne Road, in Vulcania, when the robber pointed his weapon at her through her car’s open window.
The man demanded the woman’s cellphone, which she immediately handed over.
Burglary:
• Elsburg Road, in Dalpark (business).
Break-in took place on April 27.
Stolen: A laptop and electric tools.
• Thomas Street, in Brenthurst.
Break-in took place yesterday.
Stolen: A television set, a sound system and a computer.
Theft out of/from a motor vehicle:
• Two cellphones, a modem and a handbag containing cosmetics were stolen from a car parked along Taft Avenue.
The theft took place just after 8am, yesterday.
• A tyre was stolen from a car parked along Kingsway Street, on Wednesday.
A toolbox was also taken from the car’s boot.
• Truck and car batteries were stolen from several vehicles parked at an address along Ergo Road, in Witpoortjie.
The theft took place on Wednesday.
• On Wednesday, two cars parked at an address along Craigholm Street, in Dalview, were robbed of their badges.
Wheel caps were also stolen from one of the vehicles.
