Both suspects have since made appearances in the Brakpan Magistrate's Court, where one was released on bail and the other remains in police custody.

Two Mkhankwa Village men face serious charges after they were each recently found in possession of a firearm without a licence.
Capt Pearl van Staad, spokesperson for the Brakpan SAPS, told the Herald police received a tip-off about the illegal guns.
“Const Sam Shabangu and Const Cansa Mthombeni searched a residence at the informal settlement and found a 9mm Parabellum hidden under a mattress,” she said.
“Acting on information received, the officers searched another address where a 9mm firearm, as well as ammunition, was found.”
The weapons and ammunition were seized and two suspects, aged 28 and 33, were arrested.
Both suspects have since made appearances in the Brakpan Magistrate’s Court, where one was released on bail and the other remains in police custody.
The case has been postponed to July 5 for further investigation.
