Daily crime watch

The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (August 1 to 2):

Cases reported:

• Theft out of motor vehicle: 2
• Fraud: 1
• Robbery with other weapon: 1
• Residential burglary: 1
• Traffic offences: 1

Arrests:

• None

Robbery:

• A woman was robbed at the corner of Prince George Avenue and Queen Avenue, yesterday (Tuesday).

After withdrawing cash from a nearby ATM at about 11.15am, the victim was confronted by two men.

One of the men grabbed her from behind and pressed a sharp object into her back.

The robbers demanded money, which she handed over.

Burglary:

• Kirkpatrick Street, in Brakpan North.

The home was burgled on Monday.

Stolen: A computer and two cellphones.

Theft out of  motor vehicle:

• Cash was stolen from a truck parked at the corner of Olympia Road and Prince George Avenue, in Brenthurst.

The vehicle was broken into yesterday.

• A car parked at an address along Winterberg Street, in Dalpark, was broken into on Monday.

The car’s radio, speakers, a handbag and wallet were stolen.
