The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (July 10 to 11):

Cases reported:

• Fraud: 6
• Residential burglary: 2
• Theft: 4
• Reckless and negligent driving and possession of drugs: 1
• Possession of drugs: 2
• Theft from motor vehicle: 2
• Common assault: 1
• Business burglary: 1

Arrests:

• Reckless and negligent driving and possession of drugs: 3
• Warrant of arrest: 3
• Possession of dagga: 1

Burglary:

• Prince George Avenue (business).

The break-in took place on Friday.

Stolen: Gas cylinders, basin taps, electrical fittings, door frames and doors.

• Pienaar Street, Brenthurst.

The home was broken into yesterday (Tuesday).

Stolen: A TV.

• Lapping Street, Brenthurst.

The residence was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: A laptop, jewellery, clothes and other valuables.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• A battery was stolen from a car parked at an address along Kingsway Avenue on Monday.

• On Sunday, a vehicle parked at the corner of Germains Avenue and Currey Street was stripped of its wheel caps.
