The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (August 15 to 16):

Cases reported:

• Business robbery: 1
• Fraud: 3
• Theft of motor vehicle: 1
• Possession of drugs: 1
• Possession of stolen property: 1
• Reckless driving: 11
• Theft out of motor vehicle: 1
• Possession of unlicensed firearm: 1
• Common assault: 1
• Business burglary: 1
• Theft from motor vehicle: 1
• Bribery: 1
• Shoplifting: 1

Arrests:

• Possession of stolen goods: 3
• Possession of drugs: 1
• Shoplifting: 3
• Possession of unlicensed firearm: 1

Business robbery:

• A business in Prince George Avenue was robbed by two men armed with guns on Tuesday morning.

The robbers entered the shop at 7.30am and threatened two staff members.

After loading several items (not specified) into their vehicle, the robbers fled.

Burglary:

• Voortrekker Road (business).

The break-in took place yesterday (Wednesday).

Stolen: Copper pipes and water meters.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Isuzu KB 250 bakkie was stolen from an address along Kitzinger Avenue yesterday.

Theft out of/from motor vehicle:

• A vehicle parked along Hendrik Potgieter Street in Dalview was broken into yesterday.

Cash was stolen.

• A car parked in Prince George Avenue, Anzac,  was stripped of its wheels.

The theft took place yesterday.
