According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (February 27 to 28):

Cases reported:

• Reckless driving: 1
• Theft: 2
• Theft of motor vehicle: 2
• Common assault: 2
• Shoplifting: 2
• Theft out of motor vehicle: 2
• Fraud: 2
• Residential burglary: 3
• Rape: 1
• Dealing in drugs: 1

Arrests:

• Reckless and negligent driving: 1
• Theft: 2
• Deportation: 2
• Shoplifting: 2
• Possession of drugs: 1

Burglary:

• Graaf Street, Rand Collieries.

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: Water taps and copper pipes.

• Rossouw Crescent, Minnebron.

Two homes along this street were burgled in separate incidents yesterday (Wednesday).

Stolen: A laptop, jewellery, an iPhone and other goods were stolen from one residence, while some spare change and food were taken from the other.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• Yesterday, a white BMW was stolen from Boundary Road.

• A white Volkswagen Citi Golf was stolen from the corner of Cavendish Street and Escombe Avenue yesterday.

Theft out of motor vehicle:

• On Tuesday, pool cleaning equipment was stolen out of a caravan in Muir Avenue.

• Tools and cables were stolen from a bakkie parked at the corner of Kingsway Avenue and High Street yesterday.
