Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – Eight men robbed a Voortrekker Road bottle store at gunpoint.

The incident took place around 2.10pm and the robbers fled with cash, liquor and other valuables.

* A car parked along Beechwood Street in Dalpark was broken into and a laptop and computer tablet were stolen.

• Saturday – A pizza delivery man on a motorcycle was robbed and abducted by two men.

The victim arrived at an address along New Kleinfontein Road in Leachville around 9pm to deliver pizzas when he was forced into a car at gunpoint by two men.

He was searched and robbed of the cash in his possession and his cellphone.

The victim was dropped off in Kingsway, Benoni, and the delivery motorbike has not yet been recovered.

• Sunday – No priority crimes were reported at the time of publication.

• Theft: 3
• Drunk driving: 7
• Possession of drugs: 2
• Speeding: 1
• Malicious damage to property: 1
