SPAR has partnered with leading maths skills development company Numberwise to help thousands of young learners across the country advance their maths skills from home during the lockdown.
The extended lockdown means many children are battling to keep up with schoolwork at home and in particular maths.
SPAR has therefore decided to build on its successful partnership with Numberwise to help even more learners gain key skills in a very critical and overlooked phase in education, the foundation phase.

The Numberwise Math learning app, already used by well over 60 000 learners, is tailored to help children ramp up their core maths knowledge in order to progress to more complex mathematics.
They can learn the basics at their own pace in a fun and engaging way.
During February, SPAR sponsored thousands of free licenses to their customers to sign up for the app and is now extending this free sign-up for a further three months from April through to June to all South Africans.
Anybody can register with the SPAR code for a free one-year subscription to the app, worth R300.
To register, simply download the app from your app store and use the following free registration code: SPAR185-365.
“In challenging times, people need to come together and as an integral part of the community, SPAR cares and wants to make a difference for the future – which is our children,” said Helen Barrett, advertising and promotion manager from SPAR.
