Most of Brakpan is currently without electricity due to emergency repairs at the Van Eck Park Substation.
The affected areas include Minnebron, Dalpark, Rand Collieries, Sonneveld, Sunair Park, Vulcania, Dalview, Van Eck Park, Kenleaf, the Brakpan CBD and Geluksdal.
Electricity is expected to be restored by 2pm, but no guarantee has been given.
