
According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:
• Friday – No information was received.
• Saturday – A silver Toyota Tazz was stolen from the corner of Voortrekker Road and Kingsway Avenue.
* Cash was stolen during a break-in at a business along Kitzinger Avenue.
• Sunday – A silver Hyundai i20 was stolen from the Mall@Carnival.

* The occupants of an unidentified black vehicle fired two shots at a female motorist while she was driving along Nossob Street in Dalpark.
The incident took place at around 5.20pm.
The victim told police the black vehicle overtook her at high speed and she heard two gunshots.
When she arrived home, she saw a bullet hole in the bonnet of her vehicle.
A case of attempted murder is under investigation.
* A taxi driver was hijacked of his white Corolla Quest along Athlone Avenue in Dalview
The victim, who works for a private taxi company, collected three passengers from East Rand Mall in Boksburg.
While travelling through Brakpan at about 5.50pm, one of the passengers dropped a USB flash drive in the car and asked the driver to help him retrieve it.
After the driver pulled over to look for the USB, one of the passengers elbowed him in the face.
The other two threatened him with a firearm.
The driver was robbed of his valuables, tied up, and blindfolded.
He was later dropped off in an open field and was brought by Bronkhorstspruit police to the Brakpan SAPS to open a case.
