
According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:
• Friday – A motorist was robbed at gunpoint along Hospital Road in Brakpan North after stopping to inspect his car’s windscreen after it was struck by a stone.
The incident took place at about 1.30pm.
After stopping to assess the damage, the victim was confronted by three men who threatened him with a firearm.
He was assaulted and robbed of his wristwatch, cellphone and R2 300 in cash.
A case of armed robbery is under investigation.
* A home in Landman Street, Brakpan North, was burgled of a TV, jewellery, liquor, shoes and other household items.
* A white Toyota Dyna truck was stolen from the corner of Voortrekker Road and High Street.
* Two laptops were stolen during a break-in at an address along Anker Road in Dalpark Extension One.
• Saturday – A Kia Picanto (colour not provided) was stolen from Mall@Carnival.
* A TV was stolen during a burglary at a home in Baobab Street, Dalpark Extension One.
• Sunday – No priority cases were reported at the time of publication.
