Tadpole Swimming Academy in Dalview recently hosted their first badge week of the year for their students.
Over 150 students participated, with each one receiving a badge from beginner to advanced level.
Parents were able to view videos of their children’s progress on the academy’s social media account.
“The awarding of badges at our academy is very important as this motivates our students to level up and progress,” said Christelle Radyn, the owner of the academy.

“The badges range from a tadpole with a rating of one, sea horse with a rating of two, shark with a rating of three, stingray with a rating of four and gold assessment with a rating of five.”
The academy has been in existence for 30 years and has produced numerous provincial-level swimmers and has served the Brakpan community for many years with swimming lessons.

“We are now running a winter programme so that our swimmers do not lose the vital life skill of swimming, as there are many drowning incidents during summertime,” said Radyn.
The academy holds its badge week every term.
You can find the academy on Facebook at Tadpole Swimming Academy or contact Radyn on 071 688 7987.
