Ward-Based War Room also provides Covid-19 testing

Since the launch of the WBWR last year, health practitioners in the City have been targeting hot spots in their fight.

Ekurhuleni residents are advised that services offered by the Ward-Based War Room (WBWR) team members also include rapid testing for Covid-19 that provides same-day results.
“The City continues to work hand in hand with the provincial government in strengthening the fight against Covid-19 and amongst its efforts is the convenient rapid Covid-19 test that is provided at various areas the teams visit,” said MMC for Health and Social Services Clr Nomadlozi Nkosi.
The MMC further states that the Covid-19 tests are offered parallel to assisting citizens who are 60 years and older to register on the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS).
“Residents of the City are strongly encouraged to take up the opportunity and utilise the services offered by the teams,” said the MMC.
