Brakpan is falling apart

The CBD area speaks of a real third world country.

Mrs Fouche writes by email:

Ekurhuleni received a clear audit from the auditor-general now, yet Brakpan appears to be falling apart. especially the CBD area and where you enter Brakpan from Benoni’s side at that eyesore so-called Plastic City.

That part of the road seems like it will never to be fixed again.

Illegal mining is casually continuing.

Nobody cares, nobody takes action.

The CBD speaks of a real third world country.

Home for the aged Tweedy Park is not looked after or maintained properly as it should, nor are Weltevreden Flats in Voortrekker Street.

There are so many State pensioners’ names on the list awaiting accommodation, but yet the flats and houses are not handed to these people in need.

Now the question, where is the money the State contributes yearly?

Their new financial year starts in July, if I am not mistaken.

Can Brakpan get a ‘facelift’ and people in the council, holding key positions who are really honest, reliable and committed to their jobs?
