Ekurhuleni takes Covid-19 vaccines to voting stations
Pop-up vaccination sites will be located at the following voting stations in the Brakpan area.
The Ekurhuleni Health District will be setting up vaccination sites to administer Covid-19 vaccines at identified voting stations throughout the City of Ekurhuleni today (Monday).
Member of Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Health and Social Services, Clr Nomadlozi Nkosi said the City was availing every opportunity for people of Ekurhuleni to vaccinate.
“Lest we forget, Covid-19 is still in our midst, and we really need to do everything in our power to fight this pandemic,” said Nkosi.
“Our mandate as the health team is clear. It is to reach out to as many residents to ensure that many receive their Covid-19 vaccine to help their bodies develop immunity to the virus.”
Pop-up vaccination sites will be located at the following voting stations in the Brakpan area:
• Laerskool Dalview, Verster Street, Dalview.
• Town Hall, Kingsway Avenue.
• Temporary voting station, Sherwood Shopping Centre, Craven Street, Brakpan North.
Residents visiting the voting stations are encouraged to bring their own pens and are reminded to observe Covid-19 protocols such as mask-wearing and social distancing.
