Neighbours assaulted during house robbery

Neighbours living on a property in Withok Estates fell prey to house robbers on October 25.
According to Brakpan police, a man, his wife and two children were at their Withok Street residence, where they live in a room on the property, when the man received a call from a neighbour at 19:00 informing him people were looking for him.
The man opened the door and saw four men, one of whom was holding the neighbour who had just called.
One of the robbers pulled out a firearm and instructed the man and his neighbour to follow them.
They led them to the neighbour’s room, where the robbers tied them up, assaulted them and demanded money.
One of the robbers then returned to the man’s room and ransacked it.
The robbers fled with a TV, a fridge, an eight-plate stove, two cellphones and other valuables.
A case of house robbery is under investigation.
