Unplanned water supply interruption in Brakpan

Consumers are also encouraged to store sufficient water to utilise during this time.

The City of Ekurhuleni is aware of the prevailing situation of water supply interruption in Brakpan which started  today (Monday) at about 12:00 resulting in low water pressure to no water.

This is due to a leaking Rand Water pipeline, and repairs are currently underway.

The estimated restoration time will be communicated through social media platforms once it is established.

The following areas are affected

  • Dalpark Extensions 5, 6, 13, 19 and 20
  • Leachville Extensions 1, 2 and 3
  • Leachville Proper
  • Larrendale
  • Dalview

Arrangements for water tankers are underway, and they will be dispatched to rove around the affected areas to assist customers.

Consumers are also encouraged to store sufficient water to utilise during this time.

The City of Ekurhuleni apologised for the inconvenience caused.
