Smooth sailing for voters at Hoërskool Die Anker

As part of a fundraiser, and a plus for hungry voters, the local CPF is selling boerewors rolls at the Hoërskool Die Anker voting station.

Voting at Hoërskool Die Anker is going faster and smoother than voting at Laerskool Dalview earlier this morning, with only a short line of registered voters waiting to cast their ballot in the Local Government Elections.

To provide some comfort to the queuing voters, and an escape from the heat, election officials divided the line in two, moving voters standing in the sun to a line in the shade.

Hungry voters in the queues were also able to buy boerewors rolls from the Brakpan CPF as part of a fundraiser.

The funds raised through the sale of the rolls will be used by the CPF for fuel, equipment and tools used by the patrolling members of the forum.
