Father and son robbed at gunpoint in home

A Dalpark father and son fell victim to house robbers on Monday after three men gained entry to their Elizabeth Eybers Street home at around 10:00.

According to information received from Brakpan SAPS, the man was in his bedroom when he heard his dogs barking.

He left the room to investigate and was confronted by a gunman in the passage. The victim was instructed to lie down. He saw another two men in the house.

The robbers demanded money and wanted to know if the family had a safe.

The father and son were then taken to a back room where the man was robbed of his wedding ring and wristwatch.

Two TVs, a computer monitor, two cellphones, two laptops and a tool bag were taken from the house.

A shot was fired during the incident.

The robbers fled in a silver/grey Jaguar and drove off in the direction of Dawn Park, Boksburg, with the man following in his own vehicle in an attempt to catch them.

A case of house robbery is under investigation.
