Help find missing teen

Minnebron teenager has been missing since May 22.

The family of missing Brakpan teenager Jana Coetzee are eager to locate her.

The 17-year-old went missing from the vicinity of her home along Gericke Street, in Minnebron, at about 18:00 on May 22.

“It is alleged she visited her grandmother in Germiston for the weekend and was supposed to be back that Sunday,” said Brakpan SAPS spokesperson Captain Pearl van Staad.

“According to her uncle, she did return but was outside speaking to a male in a vehicle not far from their residence.

“Her father searched for her in the streets and shops, but in vain. Her grandmother was also contacted and confirmed she was not there.”

Police are investigating the teen’s whereabouts and anyone with information is urged to contact the Brakpan SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit on 011 744 7100 or Captain Samuel Manaka on 072 757 7709.
