Weekend crime round-up

An overview of crimes reported to Brakpan police from July 1 to 3.

The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

Friday – A shop in Mall@Carnival was burgled by five men just after 06:00.

The men gained access to the mall by forcing open the entrance doors. They then forced open the doors to the shop with a crowbar.

It is not indicated what was stolen but the men were seen on CCTV taking empty containers into the shop and then dragging them out when they fled.

• A blue Toyota Yaris was stolen from Athlone Avenue in Dalview.
• A motorcycle was stolen from Silverbush Crescent in Dalpark.

Saturday – A trailer was stolen from an address along Hoogenhout Street in Brenthurst.
• A battery was stolen from a car parked along Rademan Street in Withok Estates.

Sunday – A TV, speakers, a gaming console, a laptop and other valuables were stolen from a home in Gert Bezuidenhout Avenue, Minnebron.
