Benoni thespian group Encore Theatre Productions, in partnership with the City of Ekurhuleni, is putting on an adaptation of Annie entitled Tomorrow the Musical, at the Springs Theatre soon.
According to the directors of the show Michael Stols and Ashleigh Kroll, the show is being produced to raise money for East Rand Children’s Haven, which has about 21 children of varying ages in its care at the moment.
“Proceeds of the ticket sales will be used to buy the home groceries, school supplies, clothing and whatever else they may need for the children.
“Throughout rehearsals, the cast of Tomorrow the Musical has also been making donations to us of clothing and toys,” said Ashleigh.
“We are looking forward to the public’s support of our latest production for us to realise our goal of helping the children’s home.”

• Shows are at 18:30 on August 26 and 27 and September 2 and 3.
• Tickets are R150 for adults and R100 for U18s.
