Robbers pounce on woman home alone
Intruders turn victim's restful sleep into a nightmare.
A Minnebron woman was threatened with a steel pipe during a house robbery on November 24.
According to information received from Brakpan police, the victim was roused from sleep by a loud noise in her Mynhardt Avenue home at around 09:00.
She got up to investigate and found three men, one of whom was brandishing a steel pipe, in the dining room.
The intruders took the victim back to her bedroom and demanded cash. When she had no money to give them, they searched the room.

Rummaging through her handbag, they took the victim’s ID book, driver’s licence and bank cards. They also took a TV and then fled the house.
A case of house robbery is under investigation and residents are urged to be extra vigilant as Christmas approaches.
Suspicious-looking people, vehicles and activities should be reported to the police immediately.
