RATA Word Warm project a success

Almost 200 people in need were helped.

RATA social services had their annual winter Word Warm project on June 30 at their offices on 38 Park Street.

Social workers and volunteers handed out food, dessert, party packets, jackets, beanies, gloves, scarves and blankets to almost 200 people in need.

Clothes and food were donated by the public, and RATA worked in collaboration with councillors, the CPF, Psalm91 Soul Recovery, Truth Heals, Worthy Ministry Brakpan, and the I Care Collective to hand the items out to those in need.

RATA thanked all the stakeholders, but especially the community for donating items for the project.
