Enjoy Carols by Candlelight at the Just Wheels Club on 169 Kitzinger Avenue from 17:00. Grab something to eat and drink while you peruse the flea market stalls. The Cro-knitters Club will hold their monthly Sip ‘n Crochet on this day at the Village Gardens in Withok from 9:30 to 14:00. You must bring your own 4.5mm hook and DK wool. Lunch can be ordered from the Village Gardens menu at your own cost. All crocheters are welcome, whether you’ve never picked up a hook or have been crocheting for decades. Interested parties can book their spot with Heather Bendeman on 083 580 4756.

• Brakpan parkrun is open every Saturday at 07:50 at the Brakpan Sports Centre (across from the library). Runners, walkers and volunteers are welcome. It is free, just bring your running tag/barcode. You run, walk or jog at your own pace.
