A security guard was assaulted during a robbery at a business along Prince George Avenue yesterday morning (Sunday).
According to information received from Brakpan SAPS, the guard was overpowered by three men while he was conducting patrols at around 03:30.
One of the intruders was armed with a bolt cutter. They took the victim to the guard room where he was tied up with rope.
He was robbed of his cellphone and hand radio. The robbers then went to a building on the premises where they forced open a door.
They took TV sets and other valuables. A case of business robbery is under investigation.
