Golden Boys Academy sits comfortably at the top of the Brakpan Sports Association (BSA) Football League.
Currently unbeaten after 12 matches, they look set to play in the play-offs in September.
They sit eight points ahead of Young Stars FC, who have a game in hand at second place. Leachville Shooters FC are third.
“We are looking forward to hosting the play-offs in Tsakane in September,” said BSA’s chairperson Maria Makola.
BSA has 12 senior teams and 16 junior teams.
“Brakpan Sports Association is affiliated with South African Football Association (SAFA) and is a formal entity with a board and executive standing committee.
“It was formed to mitigate and push back the decay in our communities, which is fueled by hopelessness and idling particularly among our youth,” Makola said in a statement.
Golden Boys has four more league matches left and they look set to be favourites in the play-offs in September.
