Friends terrorised by house robbers
The men gained access to the home through the roof.
A ‘girls’ night’ ended in horror when two friends were preyed upon by intruders.
Information received from Brakpan SAPS states the robbery took place at an address along Klipspringer Avenue in Leachville on Friday at around 23:30.
One friend had gone to visit the other and spend the night.
After relaxing for the evening, the pair headed to bed. They were asleep when one was awakened by a noise coming from the roof.
Shortly after alerting her friend – who lives in the home – that something was wrong, three men jumped down from the ceiling.

The robbers, each wearing a balaclava, started searching a wardrobe in the room. They took a cellphone and a laptop belonging to one of the victims.
When they tried to take the other victim’s cellphone, she refused to hand it over and one of the robbers pointed a gun at her.
Despite the threat to her life, she would not part with the device and the gunman left her alone. The robbers then fled the scene.
A house robbery docket was opened for further investigation.
