Voortrekker business burgled, thieves got in through the roof

A shop on Voortrekker Road was burgled on the night of July 26 or early the next morning, where the thieves stole appliances worth R20 680.

When the owner closed the shop at 17:30, all was well. The next morning, before opening, he did his store reports before going to the kitchen to make coffee.

Here, he discovered the alarm keypad on the floor and noticed the burglars gained access to the shop by breaking through the roof.

The intruders took a JVC 55 inch TV, Samsung 40 inch smart TV, four Lifestyle Living appliances and Salton appliances.

The case is under investigation.
