Weekend crime round-up

An overview of crimes reported to local SAPS from November 15 to 17.

The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past weekend:

Friday – A white Hyundai H100 was stolen from the Mall@Carnival.

• A business along Farquharson Road in Rand Collieries was burgled of cash, a laptop, a printer and other valuables.

• The driver of a silver-coloured Toyota Condor was robbed of the vehicle along Tweedy Road in Brenthurst at around 08:30.

The vehicle belongs to the man’s employer. Two men travelling in an unidentified grey vehicle approached the driver, told him the Condor is a SAPS vehicle, and drove off with it. A hijacking case was opened.

Saturday – Two vehicles were stolen.
A grey Nissan Navara was stolen from an address along Eeufees Avenue in Dalview, and a silver-coloured Toyota Fortuner was stolen from Beechwood Street in Dalpark.

Sunday – No priority cases were reported at the time of publication.
