Beloved goats stolen in Brakpan SPCA break-in

The animals were much loved by the staff and brought joy to everyone who visited the SPCA

Staff from the Brakpan SPCA were horrified this morning (Monday) when they discovered that two resident goats, along with a stray goat recently brought to the pound, had been stolen from the premises last night (Sunday).

Hennie, a white and brown sterilised male, has been at the Brakpan SPCA for about four years. He was taken with the female Kiara, also white and brown, and the stray.

“During morning rounds at the pound, we noticed our beautiful goats were not greeting us as usual, and to our absolute horror, we found that our wall had been broken, and our resident goats were gone,” said Tamaryn Lombard, Brakpan SPCA manager.

“The animals were much loved by the staff and brought joy to everyone who visited the SPCA.”

Lombard asked the public to be on the lookout for the goats.

“We are also in need of assistance to fix this wall and to find a solution to keep our animals safer,” she added.

Anyone who can assist may call Lombard on 083 702 4197.
