Bright futures await Brakpan High School’s matric Class of 2024
The school's matriculants collectively bagged 81 distinctions.

Brakpan High School has maintained its culture of producing excellent matric results, with the Class of 2024 achieving a 97.6 pass rate in the NSC examinations. The school has been consistent with an average of 99% over the past five years.
“We had 208 candidates, and 203 passed, and this is a success story. We also attained 108 bachelor passes and 80 diploma passes,” said principal Lucky Nkopane.
“We have produced quality results under challenging conditions. Our top achievers attained 81 distinctions in total.”
Among the top achievers was Enyichi Iroka who obtained seven distinctions in English HL, Afrikaans FAL, life orientation, history, accounting, mathematics and life sciences.
“The school has made great strides in giving quality results. We have a 100% pass rate in computer applications technology, English HL, life sciences, tourism and consumer studies, and life orientation,” said Nkopane.

“We also had a 99% pass in geography and mathematical literacy. We continue to perform very well in mathematics and physical sciences.”
“I would like to congratulate my learners for a job well done and to wish them all the best in their future endeavours.”
Nkopane also thanked the school governing body, as well as parents who believed in and supported his vision, and the staff at the school.
“We would not have achieved this without them,” he said.
Nkopane also expressed gratitude to Sun International and Carnival City for their support to the academic development in the community, particularly to Brakpan High School.
