Back to school: Anzac Primary School learners excited for new academic year

The first day is a big step.

Schools re-opened on January 15, with many learners excited to experience their first day. Every child’s first day is a big step. However, parents can do plenty of practical things to prepare their children for their first day.

Devssha Persad, whose daughter Rizwana Sayeed is enrolled at the Anzac Primary School in Grade R, said she is not anxious

about her child’s first day, saying her daughter woke up ready to start school.
“My five-year-old is such a darling. She woke up very excited to go to school. She was inquisitive, up and shining in the morning. I was also excited to prepare her lunch, take her to school and fetch her afterwards.

”I could not wait to see how she would react when we got to school. She is such a good girl, bright and an ever-happy child,” said Persad.
