Slap fight title fights are coming up
The two Brakpan-based fighters are excited about their various fights.

A major title fight at the ACPP Hall in Pretoria West on March 8 will feature Pieter ‘Bulldog’ Vorster against Tjaart ‘Piston’ Kruger.
The title and belt up for grabs is the super heavyweight champion in the Punisher Slap Fight league. Vorster, a local slapfighter, hopes to bring the title to Brakpan.
The previous title belongs to Jaco ‘Groot Wit’ Marneweck, who gave up the title to compete internationally. On the same day, Bobby ‘Punisher’ Krisch will also compete in the heavyweight semi-final against Francois ‘Whiplash’ Nel.
Krisch and Vorster are the second-oldest and oldest slap fighters in South Africa and look forward to showing their skill to supporters and sponsors.
Punisher Slap Fight follows the global Power Slap rules and has strict health checks before, during and after the fights. While attempting to legitimise the sport in South Africa, they continue to encounter great difficulty.
The sport gains a lot of attention – positive and negative. Fighters use their platform to highlight issues faced by their community. Krisch, for example, uses his TikTok to showcase the decay of railway infrastructure on the East Rand.
