Connection Hub boosts local businesses with successful networking launch
The event will occur every two months at various businesses in town, and eventually every month.
The newly formed Connection Hub held its first networking meeting on Friday at the East Rand Children’s Haven’s Kinderhuis Coffee Shop, where local business owners mingled and enjoyed a delightful breakfast and some coffee or tea.
After being welcomed by Connection Hub co-founders, Mientjie Kleinhans (Community Choices and Corporate Choices) and Jeanette Minderon (Lalies Den), each business owner quickly introduced themselves and their business.
Afterwards, breakfast was served and the networking began, with various businesses forming partnerships and making plans for future collaborations.
The goal of the networking events is for local businesses to support each other, strengthening the local economy and improving the town.

The events will take place every two months at first, and then monthly when they become more popular.
They will be held at local coffee shops, venues and restaurants to support local businesses as well, and the founders are hoping it will have a knock-on effect, growing the community’s collaboration and unity.
Overall, the event was a success, with many business cards exchanged and new connections made.
