Suspension lifted on Brakpan SPCA’s Facebook page

After an incredibly stressful time, the society is thrilled its official Facebook page is up and running again.

The Brakpan SPCA’s official Facebook page has been restored and is now accessible to the public again.

As reported in last week’s Brakpan Herald, the society was devastated after its Facebook page was recently removed due to false claims of impersonation.

The page has been running since July 2010 and has over 22 000 followers. The SPCA relies heavily on the platform for animal adoptions, fundraising and to create community awareness.

Many reached out to the society to help find a solution, with the efforts bearing fruit.

The SPCA is now overjoyed to be back online where they can connect with the community, share important updates, promote adoptions and continue fundraising efforts.

The society is currently looking at ways to have the page officially verified by Meta to help prevent this issue from happening again.
