Theft of collectables and school shoes land man in prison for three years

Jean-Pierre Cronje (33) was arrested on August 18, 2024, for stealing collectables, among other things, from a woman in Brakpan.

He first appeared in the Brakpan District Court on August 19, 2024.

Cronje stole 30 motorbike collectables, 20 Marvel character collectables, a pair of new school shoes, a measuring tape, and some food items, all worth R60 789.

He pleaded guilty on March 13 of this year, was found guilty and sentenced to three years imprisonment on the same day.
