San Michele Home hosts pageant to celebrate and support its residents

The pageant is judged by professional judges in the industry.

San Michele’s second annual Mr and Miss Mental Wellness pageant is taking place on July 19 at the home (266 Hannes Visagie Road in Withok).

The pageant is an opportunity for the residents of the home for disabled adults to leave their comfort zone and feel beautiful and appreciated, as well as a fundraising opportunity for the home.

The judges include Dave Smith, an international bodybuilding and fitness head judge, and Annwen Jordan, the founder, director and CEO of Jordan Legacy Model Management and a professional model.

Vicky Roelofse, a freelance model and HR and occupational health and safety manager, and Stephane Rens, a Miss SA finalist and owner of Halfway There, Game Lodge and director of Posh Functions, are also judges.

Entry fees are R70 per adult, R30 per adolescent and free for children under 12. Food stalls and a tuck shop will be available for refreshments.
