Sonneveld Akademie bied ’n damesoggend-tee aan by die NG Kerk Brakpan-Noord in Gardinerlaan. Kaartjies is beskikbaar by Sonneveld Akademie en kan by Suzette Binneman bespreek word by 061 346 0394.
• 24 August
Rock out at Barnyard Theatre, Emperors Palace, with More than a Feeling – Greatest Rock Anthems in aid of Hoërskool Die Anker learner Nythin Marcus (Italy rugby tour). The show starts at 14:00. Tickets on sale until July 31. Call Lourinda Marcus on 074 998 7823.
• 30 Augustus
Die NG Kerk se Brenthurst- en Moedergemeentes bied gesamentlik ’n kermis aan by die Brenthurst Gemeente, Thomasstraat, Brenthurst, vanaf 09:00. Daar sal heerlike kos en lekkernye te koop wees, asook vermaak. Besoek ook die Life Dalview Hospitaal-stalletjie vir ’n gratis welstandstoets, insluitend bloeddruk, glukose en suurstofvlakke. • 31 Augustus
Die Just Motorklub se opedag vind plaas met die klem op bakkies. Eienaars is welkom om hul voertuie uit te stal. Daar sal ook ’n vlooimark, kindervermaak en musiek wees. Die publiek word aangemoedig om ’n donasie van dierekos vir die Brakpan DBV saam te bring. Die klubhuis is geleë by Kitzingerlaan 169 en die hekke open om 09:00. Toegang is gratis.
• 19 September
’n Gholfdag word by die State Mines Gholfklub aangebied om fondse in te samel vir Nythin Marcus, ’n leerder van Hoërskool Die Anker wat gekies is vir ’n rugbytoer na Italië. Om plek te bespreek, kontak Lourinda Marcus by 074 998 7823.
• 2 Oktober
Laerskool Brakpan-Oos bied ’n gholfdag aan by die State Mines Gholfklub. Persone wat belangstel om te speel of as borge betrokke te raak, kan Monzel Heyns kontak by 084 506 6238.

• The Golden Oldies Social Club meets every Thursday from 08:30 to 11:30 at 134 Gardiner Street. Open to anyone over 55 with spare time. The club does various crafts, plays board games and is planning a breakfast outing this year. For more information, contact Ursula Edwards on 082 491 6217.
• Die NG Kerk Brakpan-Oos, op die hoek van Boundaryweg en Lappingstraat, hou elke Vrydagaand vanaf 18:30 ’n buitelug Praise and Worship. Belangstellendes kan komberse of tuinstoele bring om op te sit. Kontak Anton Pretorius by 084 499 5462 vir meer inligting.
• Brakpan parkrun is open every Saturday at 07:50 at the Brakpan Sports Centre (opposite the library). Runners, walkers and volunteers are welcome. It is free; bring your running tag/barcode. You run, walk or jog at your own pace.
