Motorcyclist hijacked at Brakpan North intersection

Hijackers pushed the victim to the ground, threatened him with firearms, and drove off with his motorcycle.

On September 4, hijackers robbed a man of his motorcycle, cellphone, and passport before kidnapping him. According to police information, the hijacking took place at the corner of Craven and Hospital roads in Brakpan North at around 21:00.

The victim, riding a white Big Boy motorcycle, was stationary at the intersection when a white BMW pulled up next to him, and three men climbed out of the vehicle.

One of them pushed the victim, causing him to fall to the ground. Two of the men were armed with firearms and threatened the victim, warning him to remain silent or risk being shot.

One of the men then drove off on the victim’s motorcycle. The victim was then dragged into the BMW, and driven away from the scene.

He was later pushed out of the vehicle and left at an undisclosed location. He walked home afterward.

The victim was also robbed of his cellphone and passport. Cases of hijacking and kidnapping are under investigation.
