Rain won’t dampen weekend plans at Brakpan SPCA

Despite predictions of rain, the Brakpan SPCA's Adoption Day will go ahead, giving families a chance to meet animals hoping for forever homes, enjoy local stalls, and attend the evening Movie @ the Pound if conditions allow.

The Brakpan SPCA’s Family Adoption Day will go ahead as planned this Saturday (December 6), despite forecasts of rain.

The society confirmed that rain will not halt the Adoption Day activities. Only the Movie @ the Pound Night remains weather-dependent.

The adoption day, taking place from 09:00 to 15:00, will spotlight the society’s longest-waiting animals, many of whom have spent months hoping for a second chance.

The event will give prospective adopters the opportunity to meet the animals in person.

In addition to the meet-and-greet sessions with the animals, there will also be stalls, treats, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.

The Movie @ the Pound Night also remains scheduled, with an outdoor screening planned under the evening sky, pending weather conditions.

Visitors can also look forward to a Tiny Twilight Bazaar, scrumptious goodies, popcorn galore and more.

Tickets are R30 per person, with the movie night starting at 18:00. The Brakpan SPCA is situated at 96 Denne Road in Witpoort.
