• February 13
San Michele Home will host a Valentine’s Charity Gala to raise funds for its ongoing needs. 19:00 at the Brakpan Garden and Pet Centre. Die Kerk van God van Profesie, Emmanuel Bediening, te Hamiltolaan 26, bied ‘n gemeenskapsuitreiking aan. 10:00 tot 14:00. Gratis tweedehandse klerasie en lakens is beskikbaar. Almal is welkom.
• 4 Maart
Hoërskool Die Anker bied hul jaarlikse gholfdag by die State Mines Country Klub aan, om fondse in te samel vir die skool se eerste rugby en netbal spanne. • The Golden Oldies’ Social Club meets every Thursday. 08:30 to 11:30. 134 Gardiner Street. Open to anyone over 55 with spare time. The club does various crafts, plays board games and is planning a breakfast outing. For more information, call Ursula Edwards on 082 491 6217.

• Brakpan parkrun is open every Saturday at 07:50. Brakpan Sports Centre (opposite the library). Runners, walkers and volunteers are welcome. It is free; bring your running tag/barcode. You run, walk or jog at your own pace.
