The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past weekend:

Friday – A white Ford Ranger was stolen from a petrol station along Heidelberg Road near Dalpark at around 15:00.

The driver had stopped to put petrol in the vehicle, and then went inside the shop on the premises.

While inside the shop, he saw the car driving off. It is believed the perpetrators were travelling in a blue Suzuki Swift.

• A white Toyota Corolla was stolen from an address along Devon Street in Dalview.

• A white Nissan NP200 parked along Kitzinger Avenue was broken into in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

One of the door locks and the ignition system had been tampered with and damaged.

• An attempt was made to steal a white Mahindra Bolero parked at the corner of Hastings and Prince George avenues.

The owner returned to his parked vehicle and found the radio playing and the dashboard lights on.

He tried to start the vehicle but was unable to as the ignition had been tampered with and damaged.

• A 17-year-old boy was robbed of his cellphone at the corner of Lapping and Boyd streets in Brenthurst.

The teenager arrived home at around 16:00 and told his mother he had been robbed by three men.

A robbery docket was opened.

Saturday – Jewellery was stolen during a burglary at a home along Masefield Street in Dalpark.

• A red Big Boy scooter was stolen from Kingsway Avenue.

The scooter was later recovered and three suspects were arrested.

Sunday – Various goods, including groceries, toiletries and cleaning products, were stolen during a break-in at a business along Voortrekker Road.
