Kenleaf resident Wynand Bezuidenhout (54) is having more than a good night’s sleep after he won R100 000 in a promotion run by Good Knight Bedding.
The franchise ran a three-month promotion across its 50 national stores where three people could win a cash prize if they bought a bed from any of the stores.
The first prize was R100 000, the second prize R30 000 and the third R20 000.
Bezuidenhout, who purchased a bed from Good Knight Bedding at Mall@Carnival, was revealed as the grand winner at an event at the mall on July 30.
He told the Herald he was grateful to have won and described it as a ‘nice surprise’.
Bezuidenhout has left most of his winnings in the bank but used some of it to help people he knows in need of money.
