Motorbike crash leaves driver seriously injured
The injured biker was airlifted to hospital.
A 32-year-old man was seriously injured after he is believed to have lost control of his motorbike on Location Road in Brakpan on January 13.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 21:00 to find another service already in attendance, treating the man found lying in the veld.
“On assessment, medics found that the man had sustained severe injuries to his leg, leaving him in a serious condition,” said ER24 communications officer Russel Meiring.
“The man was treated and provided pain-relief medication before being flown by a private medical helicopter to a nearby hospital for urgent care.”
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigation.
