Children’s Haven thanks buyers, requests donations for charity shop

The children's home is thankful for all the support and customers buying from them.

East Rand Children’s Haven’s charity shop is running low on stock. Although the sales are greatly appreciated, some items are in short supply or have sold out completely.

Handbags, mugs, plates, teddy bears, books, and board games are among the items in shortest supply, but donations of any clean, functional items that are no longer wanted or needed are appreciated.

All funds made through charity shop sales go directly to the care of the children in the home’s charge, providing them with clothes, food, education and safe, clean shelter.

Furniture, decor, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records, even useable sports equipment that your child outgrew, are all welcome.

Items may be dropped off at the shop on 5 Muriel Brand Street during operating hours, which are Mondays to Thursdays from 08:00 to 15:00, Fridays from 08:00 to 14:00 and every first and last Saturday of the month from 09:00 to 13:00, as well as non-religious public holidays.
