Children’s safety a concern at park

An innocent child would have been killed or seriously injured.

Debra writes by email:

I was driving up the road between the church and swimming pool where the new park is when a little boy of about two-and-a-half stepped off the pavement and walked into the middle of the road.

I stopped and hooted and no one even tried to help this baby.

I called a couple and they ignored me.

The mother eventually ambled up and by then this little guy went back up the pavement.

I think, perhaps, apart from the negligence, a fence should be put up in order to prevent a child from being knocked down.

Fortunately, I drive slow, but a driver going fast may not have had the time to stop, and an innocent child would have been killed or seriously injured.
