High revving excitement at The Rock
The next two weekends at The Rock Raceway, in Brakpan, will provide some of the best motoring action on offer in South Africa.

On Saturday, October 5, the final round of Japan Auto Trading Drifting will take place, with drifters invading the raceway
It is the fourth year of the Japan Auto Series, which has attracted a large contingency of rookie drifters, a good sign that the sport of drifting is on the up.
The series will also host a Silver Cup competition, which allows the novices a second opportunity to show off their potential, especially if they do not make the top 16.
On Saturday, October 12, the Nationals for WOMZA drivers will take place at The Rock.
National status and the prestigious South African rankings are up for grabs for the following classes:
- Kids in Racing SA
- Ninja Drivers
- Formula 2 Midgets
- V8 Sprint Cars
In the saloon category, it will be the 2L Pinto Class and the 1600 Stock Rod classes, that have also received national, as well as the Lexus class.
So, come and get your V8 adrenalin fix and support your favourite racing drivers as they thunder around the 400m tarred circuit.
On Sunday, October 13, the raceway will host the next Ice and Dice Street 2 Strip drag races, which will get underway at 3pm.
