It’s fight week, but Buys is out
EFC returns to Carnival City for the organisation’s milestone 40th event, tomorrow (Saturday, June 6).
Dino Bagattin, the former welterweight champion, has been competing inside the Hexagon since EFC 01 and headlines the massive event against the new generation of mixed martial artist, Dricus du Plessis.
Coming off a massive middleweight victory over Darren Daniel, du Plessis is cutting down to conquer the welterweight division.
Former heavyweight champion Ruan Potts makes his awaited return from the UFC for his clash with the dangerous Frenchman, Cyril Asker.
Irish fighting spirit will ignite as Dublin’s Peter Queally goes head-to-head with the wrestling sensation and undefeated MMA prodigy Igeu Kabesa.
There are also 10 more exhilarating bouts before then, but former Brakpan resident and Brakpan Wrestling Club sensation JP Buys has had his debut professional fight postponed, after coming down with an illness that has put strain on his training regime.
