New racing season starts at the Rock Raceway

Rotary fans and V8 fans are in for a treat.

Another year and another brand new season for petrol heads as the annual beloved Rockmania All-in-One Showdown kicks off at the renowned Rock Raceway in Brakpan on January 16.

All the oval drivers, drifters, Formula N circuit drivers, Legends and drag racers will all take to the circuit to give the spectators a taste of what’s to come in the new racing season.

The 400m oval circuit will play host to all the favourite entertainers

If you thrive on adrenalin then this will be one event you do not want to miss, and Rotary fans and V8 fans are in for a treat.

The V8 Outlaw Sprints will smoke tyres to the finish line in a high-speed chase for the podium spot.

Rotary fans will see the Super Midgets do battle trackside as well.

Other favourite competing categories will include Kids In Racing SA Ninja Class (ages six to 12), 100cc Micro Midgets, 125 Shifter Karts, Formula 2 Midgets,1600 Stock Rods, 1660 Modified Saloons, Super Midgets, V8 Lexus Class, 2.1L Pinto Class, Super Saloons and Formula N Circuit Racing.

Drifters will also be smoking tyres to oblivion in a slideways battle.

The popular Inex world championship series Legends Racing, that originated in the states, will once again be in action as local drivers take to the circuit in their old 60s and 70s Ford and Chevy replicas powered by a Yamaha motorbike engine.

The Legends were the very first Nascars to be raced in the USA.
